My Mother's Lad

A lady’s man – will I be one?
Mother’s lad – I’m sure I am!

She covered me in her shell,
Sticking all the mud to herself,
Keeping me sheltered within,
Safe, clean, and polished.

Giving me her life and blood,
She fed me like the pelican.
Rooting to the mud so deep,
Sprouted such a tender flower.

Why're You so?

Girls change their attire, like
The chameleon its skin.
But why they change their mind,
More often than their dress!

I compare a lady to a snake,
That uses its tongue to kill.
It sucks with its tongue of venom,
And thinks it's honey to taste.

My Only Prayer to Thee

God, may I pray to thee,
But for a single thing:
Give me back my infancy,
That you once snatched from me.

“Grow up, man, be mature”
Fed up with words like 'em;
I love my infantile self,
Leave me to my secret self.

Life’s but a fool’s tale,
Realism – a stupid wit.
L’me dwell in my folly,
Nothing makes me as jolly.

I Quit!

“Be prepared to alienate” –
So read the lines of wisdom.

Like the apple in Adam’s throat,
I lived in your incisive verdict.
To ingest or not to – the question
Worth deciding my life within you!

Eyes aloft, see the star alienated,
Far from the sparkling fireflies on sky.
Ears pointed, hear his hushed words,
Adding fuel to fire burning deep within.
Tongues soaked, tang the salt of the drops,
Triggering water-works on misty-eyed canvas.

I quit!!!
