Being Happy

Just like the kite floating up so high

You often see me floating in the sky

You wonder what keeps me so gay

"He is always so jovial," you'll say.

I'm content with what I have, that's true

I feel happy being myself among the crew

I don't worry about others being happy

Keeping myself happy makes me zappy.

The Lottery of My Life

The lottery - she said she won today, my mother;
Five thousand - she said, with a triumphant smile!
I could see my childhood, securely covered within,
Her hope, her sacrifice - In her pain, I had my gain.

Let me tell the world, conclusively, at the top of my voice,
Let me climb the top of the world to proclaim loud:
I won it already, the lottery, the very moment of my birth,
Being born to her, in her sacred chalice of creation.

Her love, like an ocean unbounded, fills my heart.
Her love, like O2 in cells, flashes flood in my vein.
How could a man ever thank her for all she’s given,
Through her sweat, her blood, and her selfless love!

I’m no man today, had she not been my mother!
I’m not worthy; but who could ever be my mother!
Her sweat is my bread, savouring sweet in its sour.
How many deserts would make me sweat like her!

Living be like

Living like nothing is ever changed,

Leading a life through thick and thin,

We strive again to reach the hilltop, though

'Double double toil and trouble' on our path.

Nothing's changed, never would any!

Yet we see the clouds closer on top,

Covering us from the scorch of the sun,

Making our toil pleasing and refreshing.

How’s Life?

How’s life? We always tell: It’s fine.

Do you ever think? And is it really fine?

Is there anything more, if all is going well?

Do we need to care, to make it go on well?

Like a wagon riding through its rails,

Life moves on its own, through its rails.

Who knows when it may take its turns

To the rocky roads and it never returns.

Like a ship that still has its smooth sails,

Life moves on its own, telling its tales.

Who knows where there’s an iceberg

That hits it when none sees the berg.

Let’s learn to steer our ship through storms

Let’s all be prepared by learning its norms.

Life’s a tale, no doubt, but don’t be that idiot

Who tells it with sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Paradise within the Pandemonium

Standing united, with steady and steadfast stimulus

Do we achieve our success that tastes like honey!

Then we see ravishing rainbows in our darkest clouds,

And create a Paradise within our Pandemonium.

God, not your boss!

God is always right, not your boss.
Fear your God, for He is your boss.
Trust, He’s the One and the only One,
Who knows your what, where and why
Who knows and shows your how, and
Who knows your past, present and future.
Why fear man who can kill your body,
Yet can’t touch your soul, that’s the logic!
So I tell you, fear your God and trust in Him
Praise Him, worship Him, and trust in Him!

We Shall Overcome!

Roads will soon, for sure, be busy again,
With long queues of school buses heading home.
Corridors will see the hustle and bustle again,
Of the buzzing bees, around their honeycomb.
Campus will turn to fruitful orchards again,
For our beautiful birds, singing to their Gnome.

Can the spring be this harsh ever again?
Can this virus, forever, lock us down at home?

The locked gates will soon, for sure, open again,
Butterflies will start fluttering, with ‘no syndrome’.
Rainbows, in the school garden, will arise again.
Storms can’t blast our flower-buds, ‘staying home’.
We, the gardeners, will stay strong against the storm
For our buds, till they bloom, in school or at home.
