Play on the Stage

The show must go on –
That’s the rule of the world.
We are none, but fools
Who think we’re vital!
Our world is the stage,
Where we play our roles,
As son, brother, or lover,
But never as the ruler!
Make way for others,
When your role is done,
For the play was on, and will
It be, when you’re not on stage!
Don’t love any role much, for
You’re not the only player.
Don’t direct others’ roles, for
They have scripts unknown to you.
Roles are varied, learn to stand,
Shift from one, stick to none!
Stranger once, sole-love today,
Everything once, no-one today!
Be it a lesson – love your role,
Once it’s played, take out your garb,
Join the crowd, to watch the play,
On the stage – it must go on!
