Learn Your Lessons

Your life is but tinier than a virus today,
And the world, much smaller than a home.
Yet you think you’re the designer of the earth,
That was made by the Word, ages and ages ago.
Where were you when its foundations were laid?
Did your parents see its pillars being constructed?
Or your great forefathers carry its stones and bricks?
Who prophesied you’re inevitable and imperishable?
Are you greater than the tiny virus that kills millions?
Are you stronger than those who succumbed to death?
Learn from the millions that speak words of wisdom,
That reached their brains as late as they were dying,
“You’re not the master of the universe that holds you;
You’re just a traveler, and this world your lodging.”
